Mercantil Commercebank, one of the largest banks headquartered in Florida with nearly $7 billion in assets, recently hosted a tri-county networking event in celebration of National Small Business Week.

Attended by hundreds of business professionals and chamber of commerce members, the event—in its second year—took place on the evening of May 14 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood.

An innovative platform developed by the Bank allowed for networking experiences to carry on after the event. The connecting of businesses and individuals has continued through , an online networking site and directory exclusively open to event attendees. Created to empower post-event business connections, professionals who attended have been able to create directory listings, inclusive of company service descriptions and contact information, through the website.
